Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Lens Information
Lens Colour

Not all sunglasses have the same colour lenses, here is a simple guide to what the different colours mean.

Grey lenses

Grey lenses ensure natural colour and offer protection in all weathers.

Brown lenses

Brown lenses warm colours and enhance contrasts. They offer a good level of protection in all circumstances.

Yellow lenses

Yellow lenses enhance contrasts in fog or low light conditions and are ideal for driving.

Blue or mauve lenses

Blue or mauve lenses are stylish and fashionable. They provide good protection in moderate sunlight conditions.

Pink or red lenses

Pink or red lenses are an alternative look for night time or low light.

Green lenses

Green lenses allow vision very close to natural human eyesight, excellent for precision sports such as golf.

Glass or Plastic Lens

Glass lenses are harder to scratch, and offers greater clarity. A plastic lens is lighter in weight, and more impact-resistant. Most sunglass lenses are made from plastic for their versatility, durability and lightness.

Polarized Lenses

Polarized lenses contain polarized filters. These filters reduce glare reflected off shiny surfaces such as water. Fishermen especially like polarized lenses because they make it easier to see the fish in the water.

Gradient Lenses

Gradient lenses are darker on the top and lighter at the bottom.

UV Protection

To protect your eyes it is recommended that you wear sunglasses that block 99 or 100 percent of UV light. All of the sunglasses we sell offer 100% UV protection.
